It stays home
Control runs on a server inside your house. No subscription to a foreign provider, no data sent out — and the heating, lights and blinds keep working when the internet goes down. It is also simple under GDPR: camera footage never leaves the building.
Zero cloud calls in the climate control: the two Midea units talk over the local network on port 6444, with no vendor server involved.

Designed, not improvised
Every system is described in code and versioned in git — the dashboards, the integrations, the automations. That means it can be reproduced at any time, restored within hours after a server failure, and every change stays traceable.
At handover you receive the complete configuration. Any Home Assistant specialist can take it over, anywhere in the world — you are not tied to us.

Open, not locked in
We are not tied to one manufacturer. Shelly, Sungrow, Huawei, Midea, Daikin, UniFi, Hikvision, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Modbus — and a KNX gateway too, if the house already has a KNX bus. Whatever reaches the market tomorrow, we can connect that as well.

What you can control
All of it from one interface: on your phone, on a wall tablet, or remotely.
Heating and cooling
Separate zones, smart thermostat, per-room control driven by presence. Air conditioners are commanded over the local network, with no vendor server involved.
Lighting
From 8 controlled points to full coverage of the home, with your own scenes and automations.
Blinds and shading
Blind and shading control, tied to light levels, temperature and the weather forecast.
Cameras
2–6 cameras with local recording and motion detection. The footage never leaves the building — not even to us.
Energy
Inverter over Modbus, battery charge control, per-circuit consumption metering, monthly reports. With dynamic tariffs where it makes sense.
Presence
Presence and opening sensors. The system knows whether anyone is home and in which room — and does not heat empty rooms.
Access
Gate, garage, irrigation. For businesses: access control and separate roles for owner, reception and maintenance.
Alarm
Integration of the existing alarm system, outage alerting, notifications to your phone.
It works. Internet or not.

The two Midea units in the reference home talk over the local network on port 6444. Zero calls to the manufacturer's server — not even when the internet is up.
Lights, heating, blinds
The automations run on the local server, not in a cloud. The morning routine starts the same either way.
Cameras record locally
Recording goes to storage in the house. No port is open to the internet; remote access runs over an encrypted VPN.

How it works

Audit
We come on site: we assess the network and the electrical installation, and work out what you actually want automated — who lives there, what bothers you, what you would like. It costs 120 € and is the first phase of the base package: if you order, you do not pay it twice.
On site
A written concept, three scenarios with cost estimates, and the system concept and operating description — usable even if you do not choose us.

Design
From the audit we design the system: which circuits are controlled, which sensors go where, how they connect. For a new build we coordinate with the electrical plan while the walls are still open. Design is a separate contract from installation — if you stop after the plan, the design work is paid for and the detailed technical design stays ours.

Build
We install, connect and configure. Mains work is carried out by an ANRE-licensed electrician as subcontractor — we design, integrate and program. Payment comes in three parts: 40% on signing, 40% when installation starts, 20% on signing the handover protocol.

Handover and Care
We hand the system over and teach you to use it. You receive the complete configuration in code — dashboards, integrations, automations — so that anyone who knows Home Assistant can take it on. From there the Care subscription handles updates, backups and monitoring; it is optional, but it is the default.

What every system has underneath
Before any light becomes smart, the thing that makes the system work has to be built. That part is the same at 10 controlled points and at 55 — and it is why even the smallest package has a starting price.
It is like the electrical installation: the consumer unit, the meter and the earthing cost the same whether you fit five sockets or fifty. The number of sockets matters — what sits behind them does not.
The server the system runs on
A small, quiet, low-consumption computer that sits in the house and runs day and night. It is the reason a cloud abroad does not decide when your lights come on — and the reason the house keeps working when the internet goes down.

Building and configuring the base system
Installing a program is not enough. Underneath it goes a layer that lets an update that goes badly be rolled back in minutes, and that gets the system running again from backup the same day after a hardware failure. We build that layer into every system.
Proxmox virtualisation, Home Assistant in its own virtual machine, a snapshot before every larger change, automatic backup to a second device.
Secure remote access
So you can see and control the house from your phone when you are away — without leaving a door open to the internet anywhere.
An encrypted VPN. No port is open on the router; the system cannot be reached from outside.
The three together come to roughly 290 €, and they are the same in any package. It is the one item that does not depend on the size of the system.
That has two consequences, both worth knowing: the smallest package cannot be cheaper than this — and once the foundation exists, expanding later is only about the new devices.

When it is NOT worth it
Energy saving is a good argument only in some cases. Here are the ones where it is — and where it is not.

We argue from energy savings only where consumption is large and controllable: heat pump, air conditioning, water heater, solar, guesthouse. Elsewhere the honest argument is comfort and security — and we say so.

“I only want a few lights. Why does it cost that much?”
Because every system has a part that is the same amount of work at 10 controlled points and at 55: the server it runs on, building and configuring the base system, and secure remote access. It is like the electrical installation — the consumer unit and the meter cost the same whether you fit five sockets or fifty. That part is roughly 290 € and does not depend on the number of lights. The good news is that it is done once: if you expand later, you only pay for the new devices.

“But KNX is the industry standard, and this is open source software.”
True, KNX is a standard — which is why it is expensive, closed and slow to change. Home Assistant has the largest smart home developer community behind it, ships a new release every month, and supports thousands of device types. And if the house already has a KNX bus, we can integrate it: the two complement each other rather than compete.
KNX is a standard, we are a platform. The two can also be combined.
“And if you disappear tomorrow? Who do I turn to?”
It is the most legitimate question there is, and it is exactly why we document every system in code. At handover you receive the complete configuration: any Home Assistant specialist can take it over, anywhere in the world. With a KNX system that is not the case — without the original integrator's ETS project file, essentially everything has to be redesigned.

“Isn't this dangerous? Someone could break into my house.”
It is the other way round: most smart devices are vulnerable precisely because they connect to a foreign cloud and because a port on the router is open. We open no port to the internet — remote access goes over an encrypted VPN, camera footage never leaves the house, and the system keeps working even if you unplug the internet cable.

You can — plenty of people do, and half of those builds stay half-finished. The difference is not in the wiring, it is in someone designing the whole thing, documenting it, and still being able to repair it three years from now. And if you really do want to build it yourself, we will sell you the audit and the system concept: 120 €, and you will know exactly what to buy and in what order.

“I got another quote, at half the price.”
Ask them three things: do I get a written plan and documentation; does the system work without internet; and what happens if the server fails — how long until it is back. If all three answers are good, take their offer. If not, you are not comparing the same thing.
You are not comparing the same thing. Here are three questions for them.
“Why pay monthly when I have already paid once?”
It is not mandatory — the system works without a subscription. Care covers what wears out over time: the updates, the backups, and someone noticing a fault before you do. You already pay around 130 lei a month to have an alarm monitored — this is the same logic, applied to the whole house.
Optional. But the system ages — the subscription keeps it young.
